Carlos Ruiz — Tattoo Artist My name is Carlos Ruiz, a professional tattoo artist and visual artist with more than two decades of experience in the tattoo industry. I started my artistic journey at a young age, developing a strong passion for drawing, painting, and design. Over the years, that passion became a professional career that has taken me through Mexico, New York, and Vancouver, working with different artists, studios, and clients and constantly evolving my craft. My tattoo career began professionally in New York, where I had the opportunity to work in different studios, including The Village Pop in Manhattan, Devil’s Ink in Spanish Harlem, and Freestyle Mania in the Bronx. These experiences allowed me to work with a diverse clientele and become part of the vibrant New York tattoo scene. I later continued developing my career in Mexico, where I became the owner of Guanattoos Tattoos, building my own clientele and studio experience. Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous tattoo conventions in both Mexico and the United States, including conventions in Monterrey, Mexico City at the World Trade Center, Puebla, and Guadalajara. In the United States, I have also participated in major tattoo conventions, including The Best Show in the World in New Jersey and the most recent convention held at Navy Pier in Chicago. These conventions have given me the opportunity to meet and work alongside talented artists from different parts of the world while continuing to challenge myself creatively. Today, I am based in Vancouver, Canada, where I continue to tattoo, create art, and work with clients while bringing together everything I have learned throughout my career in New York, Mexico, and Canada. For me, tattooing is more than a job. It is a way of combining drawing, design, technique, and personal expression to create artwork that becomes part of someone's story. Over 20 years of tattooing. Three countries. Countless stories. One passion: art.

Hi! I’m Linda, a Mexican tattoo artist based in Vancouver and the artist behind Linda Rios Art. Art has always been part of me, but tattooing became a way to reconnect with my creativity, my roots, and a part of myself that I didn’t want to leave behind while building a new life in Canada. My work is inspired by Mexican culture, nature, transformation, freedom, and new beginnings. I love creating pieces with fine lines, delicate details, color, and symbolism, bringing together different influences while developing my own artistic voice. You’ll often find butterflies, hummingbirds, flowers, mystical elements, and meaningful details in my work. I love tattoos that are beautiful, but I love them even more when there’s a story behind them. I’m also a mom, and becoming a tattoo artist has taught me something very important: becoming a mother didn’t mean giving up my dreams. It meant learning how to build them differently—with my children beside me. I’m still growing, experimenting, and defining my voice as an artist, and that’s one of the things I love most about this journey. For me, every tattoo is a collaboration. My goal is to create something that feels personal to you—a little piece of art and story that you get to carry with you.
